Hello there! I know, I’m a little late for Monday Meal Planning Madness, but hey. What’s a girl to do when she has a busy day of catching up on The Block and optometrist appointments?
It’s getting chillier here in the Southern Hemisphere so I’ve got the slow cooker out and I think it will be making a regular appearance. I bought a slow cooker recipe book (one of those ones where you can make just about any extravagant recipe known to man in a slow cooker!) and I’ve tabbed a gazillion recipes to try over this cold season – so be prepared for that to feature pretty heavily.
Monday – Help Yourself Night! (AKA I can’t be arsed cooking for y’all)
Tuesday – Rissoles served with Creamy Mashed Potato and Garden Salad
Wednesday – Lamb and Veggie Stew (Slow Cooker – My parents’ recipe that they cook on a bonfire!)
Thursday – Glazed Pork Scotch Fillet served with Creamy Mashed Potato, Honey Glazed Carrots and Beans
Friday – Chicken Noodle Soup (Slow Cooker – I make this fresh, as in no frozen foods go into this, so that I can make a double batch and freeze half for those days you can’t be bothered, or when someone is sick)
Saturday – Take Away Night!
Sunday – Breakfast for Dinner – Bacon and Scrambled Eggs
Monday – Tuna Pasta Bake (Using Leggo’s Spinach and Ricotta Pasta Bake sauce)
Tuesday – Thai Green Chicken Curry (Slow Cooker)
Wednesday – Roast Pork served with Apple Sauce, Roast Potato, Pumpkin, Carrot and steamed Broccoli
Thursday – Chicken Schnitzel served with Fried Rice and Garden Salad
Friday – Pizza Night
Saturday – Taco Night
Sunday – Ham, Cheese and Tomato Jaffles
Lunch Box Treats:
- Mini Choc Chip Banana Loaves
- Chocolate Brownies
- Chocolate Custard
- Apple, Sultana and Cinnamon Muffins with Apple Sauce
- Left over Fried Rice
