Spring is here! And so is the Dyson Cool. This Keep Cool and Stay Fresh series is inspired by the new Dyson Cool – The Air Multiplier that is now 75% quieter, 40% more energy efficient and safer than your average fan.
Sometimes it can be a struggle getting our little ones (and ourselves!) to drink enough water. It is so important to stay well hydrated in these hotter months.
We all are guilty of a little veggie smuggling, so why don’t we smuggle water into the diets of our loved ones too?! One of my infused water recipes will inject that little extra flavour that can help disguise water from your
manchild children and make it a little more palatable.
- Punnet of Blueberries
- 6 Strawberries
- 2 Small Kiwi Fruit
- Ice Cubes
- The ice cubes are optional, but I find that having the water extra chilled is the tastiest way
- Slice roughly the same portion of each fruit and place into your container (leave the blueberries whole)
- Add ice cubes
- Top with water
Your infused water is ready to drink! If you prefer a stronger flavour, infuse the fruit overnight in the fridge, and remove the fruit before serving.
If you leave the fruit in the water too long, it starts to break down and will give the water an unpleasant taste.
I’d leave the fruit in for no longer than 18 hours, but it really depends on how fresh your produce is.
Would you substitute cordial, juice or soft drinks/soda with an infused water?
Sometimes, I make soda water with my Soda Stream and add that instead when I am craving a fizzy drink.
