DIY Halloween Noodle Boxes

Can you believe that it is October already?! I don’t think I can. This time last year, I was only weeks away from getting married. Seeing as it is coming closer and closer, I wanted to start sharing some Halloween posts.

Halloween isn’t deeply embedded in Australian culture, but I’m always up for a happy (or spooky) holiday.

DIY Halloween Noodle Boxes

I know it may seem a little early to be making goodie bags, but I was so excited I couldn’t help myself. Last week I went to Kmart and bought a bunch of goodies to make up a pack for all the kids that come to our house to Trick or Treat. I knew that if I didn’t make them into treat bags straight away, they would be eaten!

These DIY Halloween Noodle Boxes were so simple and cheap to make.

  • I bought the noodle boxes from Kmart in their craft/scrapbooking section. They aren’t featured online but they were at my local store.
  • I also bought the lollies and chocolates at Kmart because unless the bags of sweets are on special at Coles or Woollies, they are generally less expensive at Kmart. I spent $30 on the treats, but I had over half left over saved for another Halloween treat activity (More on that in the coming weeks!). You can change up what you put in there depending on your budget.
  • I created a little simple graphic and printed it on sticker paper. I used my Fiskars guillotine to evenly cut out the stickers and stick them onto the boxes.

If you don’t have any sticker paper, you can just as easily use normal paper and stick it on with double sided tape.

  • I used a corresponding piece of washi tape to add a little embellishment to the boxes. I found a pack of Halloween washi tape on special at Stampin’ Up online, which had the skull and cross bones and orange chevron washi in there. I used those, some other black tapes I had and a purple gingham too. It is totally up to you, but I would stick with the Halloween colour scheme of green, orange, purple and of course black.

Boo! Noodle Boxes

My very simple and budget friendly DIY Halloween Noodle Boxes just needed to be filled with glorious lollies and chocolate…before they were gobbled up by the monsters that live in my house!
