One Year Bloggiversary! and a {{Giveaway}} [CLOSED]

Today is my One Year Bloggiversary! Yep, I posted my first blog post on an entire year ago. I made the move to WP at the start of 2014 and I love the little space I have created here. I hope you do to.

Happy Birthday to MMRMF

There are probably only two people who have followed along since my first post. That would be my husband and my mum. I love my little hobby blog and feel so appreciative to all of the people who come over here to read what I have to say, and to see my latest project or organised space.

Since I’ve started blogging I have learned so much and made so many great friends. I even have some loyal followers along for the ride too.

Thank you all for reading this past year, even if today is your first visit! I appreciate everyone who visits Me and My Ready Made Family.

In the time since I started this blog I have published 149 posts! This will be the 150th!!! To commemorate my 150th post and my first year of blogging here on Me and My Ready Made Family, I am launching my very first newsletter!!!

Newsletter Sign Up

That’s right! Me and My Ready Made Family is running a weekly newsletter. If you sign up, you’ll receive an email every Friday keeping you up to date with what has been happening on the blog through the week, and a few little exclusive goodies I’ll only be sharing in my newsletter. I would simply love you to sign up and receive my very first newsletter this afternoon – Let me know what you think of it!

I know how cluttered my inbox can get, so there will ALWAYS be a clear opt-out if you feel like it’s no longer relevant to you, but I promise I will never bombard you with loads of useless emails for no reason.

I didn’t intend for this post to be all about me. I really wanted to reward my readers for being so great and supportive with a little giveaway.

You guys know I’m all about saving money, organisation and cute stationery, so I’ve bought a little pressie for one lucky reader.

To be in the running to win, comment below on this blog post with an organisation or money saving tip!

  1. Happy anniversary! What a big 12 months its been (for me too) good luck for the next 12!

  2. Congratulations on your 1st anniversary. When you start you wonder whether you will still be blogging in a year’s time and it is just awesome when you do succeed. My fav money tip, is do not be afraid of ‘reduced to clear’ stickers in the supermarket. I save hundreds of dollars every year but keeping my eye out for things that the supermarkets want gone quickly. They don’t call me the bargain queen for nothing, I really have an aversion to paying full price for anything. xx N

These are all great money saving tips! Groupon and the like are great sites to get a membership to.

  4. Happy anniversary! It’s a great achievement to reach the first year when blogging. My organisational tip would be to menu plan each week which helps save you money on your groceries because you don’t buy unnecessary items.

    • Thanks Bec. It does feel like a lovely achievement. I feel great about it!
This is a great tip! It is amazing how much food goes to waste otherwise. I didn’t meal plan last week, and I threw out a shameful amount of food! 🙁 Back to meal planning I go!

  5. As a mum of three aged 9 and under
Organisation is crucial, is it any wonder?!
So I try to have things ready from the night before
Lunches prepared, and school bags by the door
A family organiser is hung on the wall
To remember all schedules, no matter how small
This really helps when referred to each night
It keeps us on track, and everything alright!

  6. Congratulations on your first bloggiversary! It must feel like such a big achievement. Especially as everyone says that time between 6-9 months when you’re kind of settling in and a little down in the deluge of blogging stuff is usually where you’ll pack it in. Haha got to love the mothers and other halves in our lives, I think we can all sport the same two consistent followers! 🙂 I’m approaching my first bloggiversary next month too, woohoo!
Hope recently posted…The Weekly List | 25 May 2014My Profile

    • Thanks Hope! It does. Exactly! Getting past that point makes me feel more relieved that this is for me!
Haha so true. There are two people I can always guarantee to read my blog!
That’s very exciting! You must be so excited, especially with your recent work with Precious Peeps!! Lots of exciting things happening 🙂

  7. i dunno about a tip now but i just picked up a few from all these comments 🙂
Congratulations love for 1 year anniversary. xx
Thanks for linking up for #sundaybrunch

  8. 150 blog posts….what a milestone!!! Well done.
My best tip is a combination of organisation and money saving. I reuse empty jars and bottles to store my odds and ends like paper clips, screws, buttons, pins and needles etc. Having all the items in one place certainly saves the headache of rummaging around to find what I’m looking for.

  9. Congratulations on your perserverance! I have begun and stopped blogging more times than I should mention! Well done.It is very hard to do when you don’t know if you have an audience … or if anyone even cares what you have to say!
I have a money saving tip. We recently switch to using cash only, and not our debit card. We take out the cash we need for the week and no more. when you are looking at all the money you have it makes it much easier to budget and not use it! We have saved more in the 3 weeks of doing this than we have all year so far. We also have decided on no non essential spending for a while. Hubby thinks I ” Joe Hockeyed ” the family budget, but what do you know, it’s working!

    • Thank you Chris! It definitely does take its toll sometimes. I really hope that I help people and they enjoy coming here, but at the end of the day, I really love blogging so I won’t stop just because my stats aren’t the highest.
I keep hearing about this cash spending, it’s especially big in the US, and I am TERRIBLE for it! I never have cash on me!! I really need to try it
Haha love the Joe Hockey comment. If it works, it works! You can’t argue with that.

    • Great idea, Karolina! Just touching on that, I have joined all sorts of sample sites like PinchMe, and Mouths of Mums who are running competitions all the time. You and I could possibly be two peas in a pod in that respect!!

  10. Put your grocery money in an envelope. Don’t take any other cash or cards with you so you can only spend what you have.

  11. Elect to put in extra tax each pay. Any amount that can fit with your budget, I got with $200. It’s forced savings in a sense and gets rid of this pre-tax time nerves as at least extra is in there for no hidden costs!
